Advisory Board

Marketing Advisor

The Marketing Advisor is essential to the Illini Service Dogs organization by providing leadership oversight and direction to public relations, public affairs, marketing, and social media factors of our organization. This position will work closely with a wide variety of volunteers, including those on the Administrative Board, Executive Board, Advisory Board, and Primary Handlers. The Marketing Advisor will report directly to the Chief Information Officer. This is a volunteer position that will reside within the Advisory Board. Training Advisor

The Training Advisor serves as a member of the advisory board, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of their assigned dog team(s). This position works closely with members of the administrative board, other Training Advisors, and with all members of that dog team. The Training Advisor is expected to collaborate with the Team Lead, Primary handler, and all secondary handlers. Through frequent contact with the entire team, the Training Advisor oversees and progresses the dog’s general behavior and skills training. The purpose of this position is to ensure the dog is on track to graduate from the Illini Service Dog program. This is a volunteer position.

Training Lead

The purpose of the Training Lead (TL) position is to oversee the training goals of our service dogs in training. This position is part of our Advisory Board and does not possess voting rights. The purpose of this position is focused on oversight, management, and growth of the Training Advisors (TAs) and the service dogs in training for the Illini Service Dogs. The purpose of the Disability Advocacy & Education Advisor is to continuously implement and improve accessibility, accommodations, educational materials and more within our operations. The role focuses on the integration of our mission specific to disability advocacy and education while supporting campus leadership.
